“I think the layout just lends itself for those informal, large gatherings that are so special,” says Christine of the kitchen. “It just feels really friendly like [the homeowners].” Around the island with custom millwork by MR Brewer and Rosso Alicante marble slab from Bas Stone sits American black walnut stools from BDDW. Slim cylinder fixtures by Lumfardo Luminaires light up the room and a painting by Edward Zutrau adds an extra pop of color. The walls and ceiling are painted in Farrow & Ball’s Wimborne White.
